Grounded Authority

Our authority comes not just from what we’ve studied or where we’ve worked – but from who we are. We bring lived, cross-sector experience that spans government, corporate, academia, healthcare, and community. From the boardroom
to Country, we’ve shaped, challenged and translated complex systems–because we’ve been part of them.

Our leadership reflects our roots: First Nations, LGBTQIA+, veteran, and purpose-driven. We’re not theorists–we’re realists. Reluctant leaders who’ve earned our place by doing the work, calling out what doesn’t work, and pushing boundaries with rigour and genuine heart.

This perspective shapes everything we do. We lead with humility, speak with honesty, and navigate diverse worlds with credibility, cultural intelligence and care. We are guided by values, not vanity. We don’t just talk equity–we’ve lived the gaps, and now work to close them.

What that means

our how

Connective Intelligence

We are connectors – in every sense. We translate across systems and sectors, bridging boardrooms and grassroots, policy and practice, culture and commerce.

With deep networks and interdisciplinary thinking, we connect the dots others don’t even see – linking ideas, people, and levers for change. As trusted advisors, our value isn’t just in what we deliver, but in how we think and act. Clients don’t just hire us for outputs – they keep us close for insight, clarity and challenge.

Our unique blend of procurement expertise, equity strategy, and lived community experience enables us to speak multiple languages – and be heard. We operate with clarity and conviction, unafraid to say what needs saying.

Our partnerships are grounded in trust, respect and action. We’re strategic, not surface-level; outcome-driven, not theoretical. We don’t just engage – we empower and align people towards meaningful, measurable change.

our human principles

Our name, Tika, carries deep meaning across First Nations languages. In Te Reo Māori, Tika means true, just, upright, and fair - always doing the right thing in the right way. This meaning is reflected in our four human principles, the compass points of everything we do. These principles form the base of the three tribal triangles that represent land, sea, and sky: interconnected, inseparable, and in balance. They are both our identity and our commitment.

T

Truth & Transparency

We commit to truth-telling, ethical leadership, and open dialogue, ensuring authenticity in all that we do. Like the land that grounds us, this principle anchors us in authenticity and integrity.

I

Inclusion & Integrity

We create spaces where all voices are valued, embedding cultural integrity and ethical decision-making in every project. Like the sea, it connects, carries, and ensures that every contribution is recognised and respected.

K

Knowledge & Kinship

We honour Indigenous knowledge systems and foster relationships built on respect, trust, and shared learning. Like the sky, this principle holds wisdom, vision, and the expansive possibilities of growth.

A

Action & Advocacy

We drive real change through action, championing equity, sustainability,
and social impact in policy, place,
and practice. This is where Tika Garra comes alive - truth spoken and justice in action.
