Investa First Nations Reference Group

The First Nations Reference Group (FNRG) has been established by Investa as an independent advisory body toguide the development and ongoing implementation of Investa’s First Nations Strategy 2026–2035, Grounded in Country, Growing Together.

The FNRG exists to ensure that First Nations perspectives, knowledge and lived experience are embedded in Investa’s strategy from the outset, rather than sought after key decisions have already been made.

Members bring cultural authority, professional expertise andcommunity connection to support Investa in shaping a strategy that is genuine, accountable and capable of delivering real outcomes for First Nations peoplesand communities.

In practical terms, the Group provides cultural guidance and advice on the strategy’s direction, content and priorities, and tests whether proposed commitments are authentic, achievable and meaningful to First Nations peoples. It helps Investa understand risk, sensitivity and opportunity from a community and cultural perspective, and supports Investa’s Connected Communities Working Group in aligning the strategy with broader business objectives. The Group’s role continues well beyond the strategy’s development, guiding implementation as projects, policies and operations are delivered through to 2035.

This is intended as an ongoing, relational partnership rather than a one-off consultation, reflecting Investa’s commitment to keeping First Nations voices central throughout the life of the strategy.
